Another victory for Lisa Marie Performing Arts at that's Showbiz!. 14 trophies and many dances through to the semi-finals. We are all extremely proud of the hard work not only from the students but our amazing teachers!! All the time and effort put in has clearly paid off. what an exciting day! 

So here's the big news as the new term is almost upon us. Over the summer we've put our thinking caps on and decided to go for a bit of a re-vamp to portray better to the general public everything we do and that we are more than just a dance school. 
So today we launch 
Lisa Marie Performing Arts 1/9/16

3 of our beautiful dancers were scouted by 2 London Photographers to go on a shoot round York. The results are some amazing photos and very proud students! They were proffesional as always and look great. Well done!

Hope everyone is having an amazing holiday and still taking photos of their streching! Only 2 weeks till were back again. Can't wait to see everyone and some new faces too!

Well done to everyone who participated at Dance Caper 2016! Amazing results and some very impressed teachers!! Brilliant performances in some very tough sections with everyone doing their best and many trophies to prove it! 

Final preparations are underway for the LMDC's next big competition, Dance Caper! Buses have been booked, music has been cut and makeup has been sorted ready for the big event! Good luck to everyone!

We have a new member to our team and a new piece of equipment to our collection! Our new tumble track has arrived and everyone is eager to learn some new tricks with our ex member of the British Tumbling team, Rob Morton.

Less than a month to go before our annual show, Dancing through the Decades! All the dancers are really pulling together to get everything done for Easter! Good luck to everyone and work extra hard over the next month, it will pay off!

Well done to everyone competing in solos, duets, trios and groups over the half term! Once again you exeeded expectations in many areas. Your attitudes were amazing and everyone has definitely earnt their half term. What a lovely group ofstudent we have!

One more week until the Valentine festival at Riley Smith Hall! Hope everyone is ready for groups and solos! Also, IDTA exams on the 13th. Hope everyone does well in both!!

We'd liket say a massive well done to the confident melody bear who put on an amazing show for their family and friends on the last day before christmas. They remembered everything and were as well behaved as ever! As a reward we were visited by santa which was a lovey experience for everyone!! 
Lots of different dance related games were played throughout the day making it an enjoyable end for everyone. Hope everyone has an amazing holiday and thet you are all feeling refreshed for the new year. See you in 2016!

Very successful 3 days of competition! 71 solo, duets and trio medals in total and lots of trophies taken homes. Well done to Scarlett and Poppy Frear for getting the adjudicators choice which was strongly deserved! Congratulations to all who danced over the three days. Amazing progress since last comps from everyone! Keep up the good work!

Outstanding results on only the first day of the Shining Star Dance Festival. Lots of winners to be proud of and still two more days to go. Impecable effort from everyone! Keep it up everyone and give it your all as always!

Just one more week until the shining star dance festival! Solos, duets and trios will be performed by a substantial amount of our students and we are wishing them the very best of luck with all their dances. Thank you to our terrific teachers also for coming up with all the choreography and cleaning so many dances week in week out. Your work is  much appreciated.

Chess 2nd place at the Elmet Dance Competition.

A terrific 4 days of group competitions over and many medals taken home! Well done to all the amazing, talented students we have in the dance company and all the great choreography our excellent teachers come up with. Two 3rds, four 2nds and a 1st in one competition is something for everyone to be proud of! Now on with the next comps. 

Well done to the talented students who successfully auditioned for Jack and the Beanstalk at the Grand Opera House: Elliegh Kirby,Georgie Kadis, Molly Brown, Natasha Haw, Izzy Woodcock, Ava Morton, Josh Pichon-Jones and Ruby Smith.

And well done to everyone else who auditioned as that is a success in its self. Look forward to seeing the end performance at Christmas!
